Coverages
Indianapolis car insurance providers at Insure on the Spot provide a variety of important types of coverage for our customers. When it comes to insuring your car, truck, motorcycle, or other type of vehicle, it is important to choose the coverage that is right for you and your budget. Common coverage types include bodily injury liability, property damage liability, uninsured motorist coverage, medical payments, comprehensive damage coverage, and others.
Bodily Injury Liability
Protects you if you kill or seriously injure another person while driving your vehicle. It also provides for legal defense if another person files a lawsuit against you for injuries caused in an accident. This type of coverage provides protection for injuries and does not take into account any property damage.
Property Damage Liability
Protects you if your car causes damage to someone else’s property. It also provides for legal defense if an individual files a lawsuit against you for property damages.
Uninsured / Underinsured Motorists Coverage
Provides protection in the event that you are involved in an accident with a person who does not have auto insurance or does not have sufficient insurance. Because there are many uninsured motorists on the road, it is very important to have this type of coverage.
Medical Payments
Typically will pay for the medical expenses of the driver and any passengers in the vehicle.
Comprehensive Physical Damage
Covers damage and losses to items that are damaged by incidents other than a collision, which often includes theft, vandalism, and weather-related damage like rain or fire.
Collision Coverage
Pays for damage to your own vehicle if it strikes another car or is hit by another car.
Rental Reimbursement
Pays for the use of a rental car (usually up to $25 per day) if your vehicle has been rendered inoperable by an accident that is covered under your comprehensive or collision coverage.
You may add rental reimbursement to your insurance plan by calling 1-888-972-SAVE.
SR-22 Car Insurance Policy
Establishes proof of liability insurance for high-risk drivers and persons who have had their driving privileges suspended for certain motor vehicle violations. This type of policy is often required by the Secretary of State to reinstate your driver’s license if it has been suspended.
