Accident injures 3 in Sullivan County, alcohol suspected to be a factor

Three people were injured in an accident that involved a motorcycle on Sunday morning in Sullivan County.

According to police reports, a man was driving a Ford Focus erratically a little after 1 a.m. on State Road 54 and U.S. 41. The man rear-ended a motorcycle that was traveling in front of it, and both of the people who were riding the motorcycle were thrown off of it. The two people on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to Methodist Hospital. The man in the Ford Focus was also injured and airlifted to Methodist Hospital.

Police are still investigating the accident. An officer on the scene of the accident stated that he believes alcohol may have been a factor.
