Driving without insurance is a high risk
Posted on May 16th, 2011
As studies have found, about one in seven drivers do not have auto insurance. However, driving without auto insurance can prove to be a high risk, not only for the driver, but also for anyone a driver might hit with their vehicle.
Following an accident, the parties involved should be able to receive adequate compensation from their insurance companies that pay for vehicle damage and injuries. However, if a person is hit by a driver without insurance and suffers a serious injury or vehicle damage, that person may sue the driver for compensation. This causes a headache for both the people involved in an accident.
In addition to the problems that driving without insurance can pose in the event of an accident, uninsured drivers can be pulled over for a minor traffic violation and be charged with driving without insurance. This can lead to costly fines and license suspension.
If you have been caught driving without insurance and need to purchase SR-22 coverage, please contact the Indianapolis SR-22 insurance agents of Insure on the Spot at 1-888-972-SAVE.

Conflict Arises Over DUI Checkpoint App
Posted on April 4th, 2011
A new cell phone app has been introduced that shows drivers where DUI checkpoints are around their area. While police officers have voiced support for the app, some in Congress are angered over its ability to allow people to get away with drunk driving.
Police officers in Indiana have said that the app will force drivers to comply with laws. They argue that if a driver is aware of a police car or checkpoint, they will not speed or drink prior to driving, to ensure that they are not pulled over. Those against the app disagree with this logic and say the app will only tell drivers where not to drive in order to avoid police.
It is too soon to tell which of these arguments is correct. However, in the month of March, at least forty-two people were arrested on charges relating to alcohol at a checkpoint.
If you have had your license suspended because of a DUI, you may need to purchase SR-22 insurance to re-gain your license. Contact an Indianapolis SR-22 insurance agents of Insure on the Spot at 1-888-972-SAVE to learn how you can purchase low-cost insurance.
